Kingsteignton Swimming Pool

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR 2020 SEASON

It is with great sadness that for the first time since we opened in 1979 our amazing pool will not open this season. This is due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the financial implications of opening so late in the year. We all know how much the pool means to our local community and we are devastated to have been forced to make this decision.

The Committee and all of our helpers would like to thank you for your continued support…..and have no fear; we’ll be back next year! Despite the pool being closed essential maintenance will carry on and would ask you to help us by visiting our Crowd Funding page.

A warm friendly welcome awaits you! Come along and enjoy a unique experience in our 25 metre heated outdoor pool. Competitive entry prices and memberships available for adults and juniors. Free parking, hot and cold drinks, ice creams and confectionery is available from the kiosk. Why not hire the pool and BBQ for your private party?

Our adult visitors can learn to swim, choose from dedicated swim times, join our Aquafit sessions or lane swim to improve their stroke or train for an event.

We have two choices for junior swimming lessons; Intensive and a Swim School. Professionally lead teaching programmes allow parents and family members to be in close proximity to their children when they are learning to swim. This is so important for a child who perhaps has little or no understanding of water based activities. This experience, not on offer at other pools. Under 5 year old’s have their own toddler pool where they can play and swim with their parents. All areas are strictly monitored under the watchful eye of our qualified lifeguard team.

We cater for disabled and less abled visitors and are proud to be working with KingsCare who will have a dedicated session to encourage those who may not feel comfortable joining our normal sessions to be part of a group where they can attend to enjoy gentle exercise and socialise with friends .

Kingsteignton Swimming Pool was built in 1979 by the community for the community and continues to be run by volunteers.
